Protection

Protection's conception at best just gives rest for some
Except it's inception means there's something to protect us from
To protect gives birth to peace of mind yet it rejects the son
Religion protects us from God's wrath and His anger,
Yet we bask in the terror of being wrapped in this danger
Standing guard against danger brings a change to behavior
Praises protect from unapreciation, yet brings a fear of failure
When a child understands its parent's protection it learns to fear a stranger
Vaccinating diseases bats away fear and relieves us
From sicknesses we'll be passed away and deceased from
Soul quaking from so hating the bone shaking fear of eternal opaquing,
Protection's role-playing of hope making is the dreamer's version of dope-taking
True peace is the absence of the need for protection
Yet we're most at risk of danger without it's connection
Without it, any danger or stranger with sick motives infect us
If we need danger to rationalize and legitimize defenses,
Then that which we're protected from is ultimately what protects us
Protection is a monster fiction trying to convince us of it's contradiction
So protect not just from the cause of our armament,
Guard us then, even from the very fear of that which harms us men.

I grab the pen, with the same fury used for stabbing men
Draggin' them, Kicking and screaming into the Dragon's den
My writing's lightning striking
Slicing right in your psyche, making your mind bleed

The Maid

Couldn’t believe the way I was sweating, the day of my wedding
Was nervous before; but today I was ready
Amazed at my bride, there was no phasing my pride
Till the gaze of my eyes...was trapped by the maid by her side.

Exquisite. Transcendent. Beyond plateaus of Nirvana
Her beauty could make the most faithful of men, leave the Madonna
No love song was good enough, no;
Not a worthy note from the most moving music of men,
Her face was like witnessing the moon giving birth to stars---
While on hallucinogens
A marvelous secret the universe wasn’t saying---
I came back to my senses. Everyone stood. The music was playing.

Slowly my bride walked. It was still way too quick
Her beauty...infectious. But her maid...made me sick
Gazing upon her Maiden of Honor, her skin, her eyes,
The way she fit the clothes she was wearing---
My bride’s face---wait: was it glaring?
Had my bride noticed me staring?
I fixed my posture. Stood tall. Here came my bride. Show her the charm.
I smiled. The assembly sat. We faced the preacher. She took hold of my arm.
The preacher spoke. A blur...
The maiden: I ached, yearning for my next view of her
Do I risk glancing at her, and be seen...By my veiled executioner?

Facing the preacher---a sermon on marriage I now hated him for
Far too many words. I couldn’t wait anymore.
Sweating. My neck stiffened. I just needed a look
Slowly my neck turned, with the most infinitesimal of movements,
Be a man. All I need is a glance. It was simple to do it.
I turned my head. Slowly and crafty.
Finally!
One eye was upon her---and she was looking at me
Her eyes were on mine---and looked as pained as mine were
I turned away in shock. Did she want me as well?
The preacher stopped in mid-sentence
My mind raced; calm down. Be tense-less.
My bride---the preacher---the hundreds of people---
Which of them saw through my pretenses?

“Face the bride.”
We turned. I removed the veil. Can’t break my stride
The rings were brought out, mocking in the way they shined
“Do you take this man...”
“Yes.”
The maiden: without her, I may just die.
"Do you take this woman---"
the way the maiden looked at me---Her eyes: did they just cry?
“---As long as you both shall live?”
Deafening silence. My bride sensed something was wrong
An ocean of people---whispers---I was taking too long
Be a man! Grab the maiden and run---live the most blissful of songs
The maiden---it was in her eyes too
An ocean of people, staring and looking
No...DON’T care...I can still make my move---
her eyes widened and bloomed---

I was not a man.

“Yes pastor. I do."

Sublime Concierto

Beside the bedrest caressing divine wetness
day fades on a citrus sunset, nicely mellow
fingers slide on the silk string of your sublime cielo
silent bellows of glistening waves instantly spray
a sea breeze of exhales, as they're carried away
glinting off rays of sunlight, intensely arrayed
venting away, releasing delightful frustrations
contortions in faces, angst and flights of impatients
hypnotic symphonics dance from your voice so exotic
as the streams flow, released from thier bondage
conductor's wands of my fingers pay your orchestra homage.

Drink To This

Put to ease, the glass filled with our tonic
Clinking crystals chime, R & B melodic
I could swim on your smoothness
On the waves of your movements
Resistance is fruitless
The feening of two lips
Your flesh, pressed, and the caress
Is causing you to grip
Surrendering your hips, render me your kiss
Love reminding that it's hers, her body remembering it's his.

Captivated

Like moonlight glistening on ocean waves
Is the beauty encased in your eyes
I fall deep into them
Hoping to stay lost
Lie with me
In a meadow
And listen to roses sing
With your arm around me and my hand on your cheek
Even your silence is poetry.

You Are

You are,
Like tropical rain
Like the taste of paradise
Like sunlight glinting off rubies and jaspers
Like diamonds in a garden
Like sunset on an ocean
Like candles and flower petals
Like clouds the color of autumn leaves, rolling by
All that is lovely and all that is precious
Is contained in you.

Clear Blue

Like a clear blue sky to my eyes
And cool water down my throat
Invigorating me,
Like the moon giving birth to stars
Is your essence, your warm vibrations
Like sailing on an endless grass field,
Like the dream you wish never to awake from---
And don't.
Like drinking ecstasy,
Like a Godess dressed in silk
Kissing me
Embracing me
Her soft lips speaking to me while on mine
So are you to my soul.
